hey guys thanks for the help! i did that a year or two ago and took things one step futher. i took a light weight piece of pipe and welded some bed railings to it and using a chain to support the weight front the top of the home made grill guard i bolted the bad railings to the side of the grill guard. it stood out in front of the tractor about 4 foot and shook most of the pollen off the brush before the tractor got to it. of course when the wind was right nothing would help. being supported with the chain let it ride up or down as needed like when crossing a ditch. i never could get the screen wire to wrap around the front of the tractor just right to keep all of the trash from getting to the screen. i was bush hogging 90 acres for this lady and when my tractor started running a little warm it was a long ride fron the back side of the place back to the water hose to wash things out with. shouldn't have taken that job. never was accused of being very bright.
