Hi, I have a IH tractor with backhoe with no model number. I just replaced the top seal in the hand pump that corresponds to the 606/2606. The seal cured the leaking oil gushing out the top of the steering column however the steering is still sluggish and intermittant. One time it will easily turn the wheels and then it is real hard to turn the wheels. The hydaulics on the loader and backhoe are real strong (subject to a few cylinder leaks and one leak on the bucket valve). Any Ideas? I just changed the fluid and filter because there was so much water in the fluid. It is still milky again so I assume it will take a few changes (at 10 gallons a wack) to get all the water out. When I changed the hydraulic filter, there was no valve in it so I bought one of those. Thanks.
