First off SA pto only turns 540 rpm, and is close enough to fender, one can't install a large enough pulley to achive proper mower speed. To achive that speed with SA one must drive the mower from belt pully gear box. The Cub pto turns more than twice as fast, thus you can probably drive the mower from pto. Ask that question of someone who knows.
The problem, if one drives the mower from belt pulley on SA and I expect the Cub would be the same. The fast hitch pull bar is directly in path the mower belt must travel. I could have left my fast hitch installed and removed belt when using hitch or removed hitch pull bar when using mower. I chose to remove my fast hitch and go back to the U drawbar. I my case the reasoning was, I already had fast hitch on my 130 and 140, thus I really didn't need SA fast hitch. My SA became a mower and drawbar tractor, and mower or belt has never been off since.
One item you do have to be concerned about with Woods mowers is belt alignment. I found when I installed mine it took 3-4 hours before I had that belt running true. I expect one could trim this time on second time around. I've heard all kinds of stories how these Woods mowers chew up belts if not running true. My belt was a bit ragged when I bought the mower in 2003. In 2005 I bought a new belt, just to have on hand. It's still hanging on my shop wall. My opinion, Woods Mowers are an item you install on tractor and leave it there, belt included.
