I need some advice on further troubleshooting my 1959 460. Engine dies after 10 minutes or so of running. Was low on gas, so I have but in 10 gals of fresh gas. The gas is fine, as I filled the can when I also filled my truck. I’ve cleaned the sediment bowl, and flushed the lines. (There was some debris.) So I thought I got it fixed. I ran fine for almost 20 minutes, and then died again. After setting for about 5 minutes, it will start again for a short time. Then when it started to die again, I adjusted the choke to ½ and throttle to ½ and it ran, but I could not drive it as a load would cause it to stall. Now I am thinking that it may have something to do with engine temperature, but I don’t know what it could apply to. But I did not have this problem before. It has sat for about 30 days since I last ran it, and prior to that I have been using it all season. Although it does not seem to be associated, I pulled the plugs, cleaned and made sure all wires were tight. Any ideas what to check next?
