Lenny, The serial # should be on the right side of the fuel tank support, directly above the flywheel. Probably a lot of dirt on it kind of a hard place to get to. If it will run on gas you have a good start, check the fuel pressure gauge to see if you have pressure. Then get back to the Farmall page you can find help there. I have a 48 WD9 so I can help you some, Iam in So. TX. now so don't have any books with me, will be back home in about 2 weeks. Good Luck, Skip
