Take the hose off of the intake to the new carb. Put it in Neutral, and set brakes/block tires. Have someone crank it to try to start it with your hand (palm) over the intake. (two or three revolutions) There should be a serious suction that pulls pretty hard on your palm. This will (should be) the same as a perfect full choke action. When you pull your palm away it should leak a little gas out of the carb intake. If so there is something else wrong. (Ignition) If it does not pull hard, there may be a intake leak in the intake manifold, Or the timing gears/system is not right. If it pulls on your hand, but no fuel, it is not getting any fuel from the tank. Good luck with diagnosis. JimN
