tractor seats

I have an M and a 400 that need new seats as the padding is totally gone. I know that the seat pad on the M was silver and I think the 400 was silver too but someone was telling me it may have been red and white. It is a 1956, 400 sn.36691 if that makes a difference.
Also where is the best place to get a seat? I called IH, and I don't think the young fellow was to knowledgable or cared to mess with old equipment, but he said he could get a seat for my 400 for $75. Does this sound like the right price and anyone know what color IH supplies?
