You will have to drain the gear oil, pull the top off the transmission, remove all the gears, find a press to remove the gears from the lower shaft, find a new style shaft to press the gears back on, reinstall the gears, (check the bearings while you are in there) & install the top with a new gasket. Now you can install the new style PTO. Replace the gear oil while you are at it. Just did that on a 1940 model.
