The owners worry may be beacuse He/She doesn"t use it and is not willing to let others mess it up either (but who knows for sure) drive it in road gear starting in TA reduction, and rapidly moving the lever forward. Try stopping in low gear with the TA forward, up a slight incline that will allow it to roll backwards. If it does not roll backwards with the clutch pushed in all the way, the TA needs adjustment. If the pedal needs to be pushed 2/3 of the way to allow coasting backwards, it is correct. JimN
