This message is a reply to an archived post by medfarm on June 17, 2001 at 19:09:29. The original subject was "Re: IH UD18A info".
I was reading an archived thread posted about an International Harvester UD-18A engine that starts on gas, runs on diesel. I was hoping for some help. My great uncle was in town the other day and mentioned that he had a M.R.S. (Mississippi Road Service) tractor built in 1944 with the same IH engine mentioned above. He said that he needed two pistons and two sleeves for it. I know that the old fella doesn't use the computer much, and I figured that the internet is where his best shot would be to find parts. He's driving back home to Texas over the next couple of days, and I think that he would be thrilled if I could get my hands on something before he got home. Nobody's looked at this thread since 2001, but I hope that somebody could lend me a hand. I would appreciate any help or advice very much.
