Richard, that pump is a CAV model BPE, it was used on the early built 144 engines in the 250 & 275. some where around 1959 they changed to the one in the second picture which is still a CAV pump but is a DPA model rotary style pump. Not sure where the engine serial # break for the change on the 144A engines happened but on the 144C engines it was # 1950.The rotary pump will not bolt onto the earlier engines as they changed the front geartrain cover & drive gear for the later pumps. I think you would need to find a good fuel injection shop to locate parts for the earlier pump,When I had mine checked on the test stand at a fuel injection shop they stated some parts were getting harder to come by for these pumps, luckily the only thing mine needed was the transfer pump which they had in stock.
