Hello,
Would a small leak around the oil filter cap on a Cub engine cause the oil pressure gauge to read low? Either the brass washer or the gasket was no good, and it's been leaking a little since the last oil change.
Since I got the tractor two years ago, the oil pressure needle has only been going up to between the second and third line (10 o'clock position, roughly). I replaced the brass washer along with the filter and gasket yesterday when I changed the oil. Once the tractor built oil pressure, the needle went straight to the 12 o'clock position.
