I drove it quite a bit plus fooled with it plenty and no luck. I left it sit and a few hours later I had hydraulics. For a while anyway. Then it seemed to have problems with air again. So I left it sit one more night and the next morning it was working fine and has been ever since.
I have no explanation for this but for now anyway, it's all good.
Mine has manual steering too but there's a good side to it IMO. A smaller number of 45 year old hydraulic parts that might need to be repaired or replaced in the future... ;)
