Had a similar problem with my old H last week. New battery and all serviced but it turned over verrrry slowly. Finally got it started, but couldn"t put it into any gear. Turned out the clutch was frozen and was forcing the entire transmission to turn with the starter. On a friend"s advice, I put it in the highest (5th) gear, pushed in the clutch (wired it down, actually) and then rocked the rear wheels back and forth until it rolled just a little bit. Problem solved and it sure starts easier.
