A F-12 has the steering shaft lower down, and The F-14 steering shaft was raised up higher. The F-14 also had a taller seat pole. The F-12 & F-14 use the same engine block, fuel pump, carburetor and magneto, but the F-14 had a different cylinder head, tighter governor spring (for higher RPM). The F-14 also had the crankcase breather in the valve cover and had a 3 bolt air cleaner mount instead of a 2 bolt one. I'm not sure, but I think that the hydraulic lift was a option for the F-12 or F-14. On the F-12's with a dual fuel tank, the small tank was inside the large fuel tank on the F-12's, and the F-14's have the starting tank in the hood.
