I have a Farmall 544 with the C200 gas engine. It has 2500 hours and runs great. I always run premium gas in it. I have owned it almost a year and have put about 50 hours on it. I have never been around these engines before and it seems noisy. There seems to be a lot of "rattles" inside at idle speed. I don't think it's like a rod knock. It has good oil pressure even when hot and the oil stays clean. I'm just wondering how much internal noise is normal with these engines. I know it has a balancer, could that be some of the noise?
