Hi guys, I just came upon a really nice IH 5488 2wd. Only problem is, it has a broken axle carrier, the axle shaft and carrier. The casting just snapped, but didnt ruin the fender or anything, looking like a pretty clean break. The carrier that the axle shaft splines go into just got messed up, so i would need a new one of those. But my main question is, what you guys think would be a good price for this machine. It has 6500 hrs, new paint job, its the earlier model becuase it has a rotory injection pump, 3 remotes, large 1000 rpm pto, nice interior, nice body. I think it may have broke pulling a large grain cart or something, thats the only thing i can think of that would break the cast iron of the axle carrier. If i were to get it, i would try to find used parts and fix it myslef. Tell me what you guys think.
