I have a 544 deisel hydro. Great tractor. It is a '70. There were not a lot of 544 deiel hydros made, I am sure even less demonstrators. Say the loader is worth $1000, that is $5200 for a 56hp, great engine, handy tractor. Not to bad of price in my eye since it is a rare demo. Drop that loader in the ground and see if you can stall the engine pushing, you should be able to, or at least dig a hole with the tires. My opinion. The hydro does rob some power from the 56hp, and she will turn over a bit slow when cold, but so far I am really glad to have my 544D hydro. Most people around here have never seen one, so it gets some attention at times.
