Van Sickley paint is what I call it! It fades and becomes chalky, but I do have to give it credit for being tough! I painted a tractor close to 15 yrs ago with it, (Green, but don't hold it against me.) It was a shed kept tractor 99.9999% of it life, only coming out to mow my hay field. It still faded and became chalky. I found a correct seat for the tractor, and took the one that had been on it forever off and sandblasted it to use it on a "RED" tractor, where it actually belonged.... That paint was like trying to sandblast rubber. It came off, but not without a fight. I s'pose the moral is, if you just want to protect it, Van Sickley may be fine, but if its gotta look good, go elsewhere!
