It may be coincidental ,but I had problems with my 300 not starting and running very rough with a low battery. It is a 12V and ballast resistor drops voltage to 6V to the coil. I think I had less than 5V to the coil. Couldn't get it to run worth a darn. Finally got a fully charged battery and it does run much better. I know at least one plug is weak and I may still need points, condenser and plugs to really get all the misses out. But what to you have to lose anyway? If the battery is weak replace it. Then go the rest of the ignition parts next as the other guys have suggested. No doubt you need good connections all through the entire ignition system.
