The carb is not original, as IH made their own carbs for the H and M. The engine could be kerosene or distillate, as Guy Fay said the engines were different. It does not matter as you are going to run it on gas. Call Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch -- he should have a good used carb 785-548-7437. I do not know if he rebuilds them -- you can get a kit from him or from Case-IH if it needs it. Much cheaper and just as good as a new one. Use the IH carb, not the one on it or the MS carb you want.
