I am haveing major problems with the conveyor that removes the husk below the husking rollers on my New Idea picker. The chain game off the sprocket on the idler end. I got it on and then it seemed to have too much chain slack at full adjustment. I painfully (there is very little room to work in there) removed a link from each side now it seems too tight. It dosn't sound right when running. It must have gotten tweeked but there is no access anywhere to properly evaluate it while it is running. I am considering removing the hole unit and sacrificeing the little corn it is catching. The deer get way more anyway. Has anyone ever done that? Would the husk just fall down or somehow build up and get clogged?
