Those numbers you have ending in R1, R2, R3, etc are part numbers. Any IH number that ends in Rxx is a part number, and they are cast in place digets.
You serial number plate should be on the left side of clutch housing, little metal tag, rivited on the casting.
If your serial tag is missing, go to casting date codes. Every major casting has one, and they are also cast in place, about 3/8" high digets, day and month by number and year by letter. Between each of day month and year you'll find what looks like a round head, blade type screw cast in place. The letter reference are; A-1955, B-1956, C-1957, D-1958, etc. Castings were usually cast, one to four months before tractor was built.
