If you leave it as is, with the switch on "D" the rear light will burn bright and the front lights will be dark. Setting the switch to "B" will have all lights burning bright.
However f you jumper across the resistor all the lights will burn right with the switch at both "D" and "B".
Personally I'd jumper the resistor. Otherwise you could possibly shut down the tractor with the switch set to "D", thus leaving with the rear light burning and not know it (the front lights would be dark).
