Hi, if it is a BD154 Diesel the glow plugs are all connected in series. Usually one burns out and then they all will not work. Remember the old Xmas tree lights, same setup. If the resistor burns out immediately then either someone hooked the glow plugs in parallel or the first or second one has shorted to the pre-combustion chamber. Have had the short occur but mostly burn out and none work.
