Some if not all of the Green Diamond engines as used in the D, K and KB series trucks (half to one and a half ton)(approx 1936-1948) were made by Lycoming. It is called outsourcing. It is something the auto companies have always done and continue to do till this day. Even Harley-Davidson does it with major sub-assemblies like the front end.
