Pre1: There are 2 versions of the 444, the one assembled at Louisville KY with British engine, transmission and rear end, and one completely designed and assembled at Doncaster England. Basically everything but engine, transmission and rear end are different. Hydraulics, dash, sheet metal, front axle, wiring, etc. US version has hydrostatic steering, British has cylinder on drag link. US version has swept back front axle, British is straight axle. US version has Delco electrical, British has Lucas. Styling on sheet metal is completely different. Could be something to watch for if your near the Canada-US border. Louisville tractor was sold new in the US, British version was sold new in Canada. Some have strayed both ways since. They used to be a pain if you had one in wrong country, CaseIH dealer parts books don't match up. That was 20 years ago, they may since have resolved it.
