Well, Dave, I loked at the parts diagram for the B and took a gander at my SuperC where I actually have shutters. Of course, the controls are different.
Where I think they're similar is that you route your control rod so that it passes under the air cleaner mounting bracket, not through it like you choke rod and fuel line. Then under the carb. On the SuperC, from there it passes behind the generator and above the support bracket and on forward under the generator belt until it connects up with the shutters. The drawing for the B shows the connection to the shutters at the bottom, so maybe this will get you into the neighborhood. If it all works except for clearing behind your alternator you may have to consider a longer belt and maybe a different length or shape tensioning bracket for the alternator.
