Not planning on any paint
the boards that I have to take down have never been painted. I am leaning toward 1x8 rough sawn green Red Oak. I have to lap over about an inch. Studs are are on 24 inch centers. have to cover about 16' high by 31' wide and start about 8' off the ground.
