My dad waited the first 3 years of letter series for an H. Finally he gave up in 42 and bought a W4.
In 1939, I'll bet there were a 1,000 IH dealers across Canada, and I'll bet every one of them got a W4 in their first shipment of letter series tractors. Communication was not good enough in 1939 to determine who was first.
