Hello.
The best installation I've seen used a simple "u" shaped spring hanger, welded to a flat 3/4 in plate, which in turn was fastened to the cross shaft of the existing 2-pt lift, with "u" bolts.
The person had gone to an automobile/truck spring shop and they could fabricate any size or length of "u"bolt he wanted. What looked so good about it was that it was solid to the cross shaft, just as though welded, only with the capability to be removed if needed. The spring hanger was predrilled with 3/4 holes and was about 3/8 thick x 3 inches wide.
