Those split weights were introduced possibly when the 56 series tractors came out, but for sure when the 66 series was introduced. I think the two halves together will be slightly heavier than just one of the one piece weights. The two piece weights are fully interchangeable with the one piece. I have a set of the two piece weights on my 1950 H, with a set of the one piece weights riding piggy-back.
