Red, I agree with your diagnosis. If you want this to run consistently, I think you are going to have to have the tank boiled and baked, then re-flush all the lines, and maybe if you are lucky you won't burn up your new fuel pump. You might get the fuel pump working again if you put some carburetor/fuel injector cleaner in the gas and let it sit for a few days. I have done this with outboard boat motors. Then add some Sta-Bil to the fuel while the thing sets. Sta-Bil was made to keep oil-fuel mixtures from settling out, but also slows down the growth of the crud. Steve
