That H Smoker begs the question "What else could be built from a junkyard tractor"?
Back in the '30s thru '50s Bucyrus-Erie and Bay City both took complete tractors, minus all the tires and front lower bolster, and built 3/4 swing tracked shovels and backhoes around them. We have also seen forklifts and graders.
But these aren't consumer items. I was thinking a paddlewheel boat might be interesting.
