The Red: I tend to substitute systems to isolate the source of a problem.. I may have tried to disconnect the gas line and hooked in a small tank of even just one gallon of new\clean gas. One gallon will run ya around the yard quite a while. If it ran good, then the original fuel system has to be bad. Sounds like your about there anyway. Good luck. harvey
