Tom, I had a similar problem with my 560. I was roudbaling and when the bale got about full the pto would slip. If your clutch"s are in good shape put the unit in the vise per the service manual( I have one if you need a copy of those pages). and tighten the main nut. You should have to put a piece of pipe on the arm to make it break over center. The newer pto units you could adjust on the tractor if that"s what you have.
