The best way I know to avoid this is run the tank dry and then put in some low octane aviation gas . Then run the engine for a few minutes to flush the system.Avgas does not have the junk in it that the no lead does. Also a good doping of Stabil will help but is not fool proof.Iuse Stabile year round in my old stuff.
