Get the No. 1 cylinder at TDC of the Compression stroke. Rotate mag so that the rotor points to No 1 firing position. Assembly mag to tractor with mag rotated up next to the block. Turn engine one compete revolution back to TDC of the next cylinder. This is to get implulse set correctly to trip. Rotate mag out away from the engine block until the the impulse just trips. Tighten up the mounting bolts, and the mag is now timed. Rotate engine again one revolution to the next TDC position. Mag impluse coupling should trip at TDC. If not adjust until it does.
