Turn engine so #1 piston is on TDC (Top dead center). Turn the magneto so the rotor points to the #1 cap terminal. Install the mag and lightly tighten bolts with the mag turned all the way towards the engine. Crank the engine to the next TDC and loosen the mag bolts and slowly turn the mag outwards until the impulse coupling "trips". Tighten the bolts. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
