Engine out of an 806 had been installed at one point and I just had it overhauled this fall; carb appeared to be off of a smaller outfit tho.
Had been cobbled; solenoid plugged off and the load jet was really, really messed up. As you'll recall, I've been complaining for years about the way this thing would suck the fuel. Worse than a normal gasser even.
The new carb is 2" taller with the solenoid arrangment deleted and a high side adjustment in it's place.
Anyway, after the proper 806 carb was installed and in conjunction with that electronic ignition, the black smoke is gone, tractor now touts an absolute instant start with a full 80/90 horse, really runs sweet and the trips to the fuel barrel have subsided by a factor of 4.
Kinda scary. But, I'm starting to like this gas tractor............finally. :>)
