Use Seafoam, it not only stabilies the fuel, but if you run it all the time, it will keep your system free of any moistire that might accumilate, will keep valves from carboning up. What you are describing sounds more like stale fuel dripping from the carb. I use in everything I use, never have fuel related problems. It is one of the few products I have found that actually does what the can says it will do.
