Did the engine run before installing new wires and points? You need to make sure you have battery voltage at the coil on both terminals with the points open and ignition switch on. Your plug wires should be in this firing order on your new cap. 2-1 4-3 Take a piece of 320 wet or dry and rub those new points and then clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. Hal
