My son advised me today that he had "BORROWED" a few pages from one of my Behlen Power Steering Manuals.
One of the borrowed pages does have some additional information about the #201 Behlen power steering pump that Nebraska Kirk used on his tractor.
It states: "These pumps are equipped with a spring- loaded differential piston-type relief valve. Pressure on this relief is pre-set at the factory at about 950psi".
I don't know if this is in an acceptable psi range for power steering systems or not.
Maybe I have been lucky, I have used these pumps without any problems with both the Char-Lynn and Behlen steering motors for the last 4 or 5 years(I'll keep my fingers crossed).
