240 utility tractors had a factory installed loader option of the Wagner Models 110 and 120. This is a 240 with a Wagner 110 loader I'm restoring:
I have an IH 1701 I'm putting on a 340U which I'm sure would also work on a 240 . . . you would likely have to make adapter plates for it as the IH loaders came with installation plates for a specific tractor. Have seen IH 2000 and 2001 loaders on 240U's but personally I think they are too heavy for the tractor and put too much strain on the steering. I wouldn't recommend a loader without power steering, by the way.
