Unless you use your H an awfully lot, I do not know if the electronic ignition would pay for itself. The points in my H have been there for years, probably 8 to 10. I have a 140 that has a little play in the distributor, but I cannot tell you the last time I changed the points. I suspect you may have something else going on, but to cover all possiblities, you can check them. I would even consider you checking the valve adjustment when the engine is hot. I believe the farmalls tend to do better when the valves are just slightly loose. You could always have trash in a carb passage. A fix may be as simple as enriching slightly the high speed fuel mixture. There are many possibilities, but they are easy to check.
