SMTA is all painted. Now detailing the hydrualic hoses. I have a motor driven set of wire wheels, stiff and soft. Polished up the steel ends to high gloss. Hand sanded the rubber. They look like new Question is how to keep the now bare steel fittings from corroding. Will a clear coat adhere? I can't find any epoxy clear. All I find is acrylic, and uerethanes used over base coats. Like to have something more bulletproof. Plus I would use it on polished non painted bolt heads and nuts.
