Bill, I read all the post and I concur with the unanimous decision to buy the tractor. One point that seems to bother you is the price being above the selling price for a similar tractor in your area. Assume that an equivalent tractor would have a market value of $1000. Therefore you are looking at $500 standing in your way since the tractor could always be disposed of for the market value. This could be the best $500 you will ever have the chance to spend. Make some sacrifices if necessary to make the purchase. It will only make the tractor more appreciated. If you elect not to purchase it let us know. One of us may buy it now for $1500 and when you are more established sell it to you for what you will preceive it is worth when you are older. (Only kidding but trying to make a point). Buy the tractor!
