Daniel, looked at CaseIH parts web site and you are correct it has an aux Side Mounted Hydraulic pump at either 18 or 13.5 GPM to power the loader and the hoe. It also uses a different part number filter than the regular hydraulic on the left side of the transmission case. There is a 2500 (AG 574)Series A model back hoe that would be very similar to the 2400 Series A that you have. The major difference would be the 4 cyl D239 engine instead of the 3 cyl D179. I prefer the D179 as it starts better in the cold than the D239. My brother has over 15,000 Hrs on the D179 in his 454 and still starting and running strong. Hint add some Diesel fuel conditioner or a couple table spoons of engine oil every time you fill the Diesel tank on your 2400. The Bosch Diesel injection pump on these older models rely on the Diesel fuel to lube the injection pump and with the new low sulphur fuels the lubrication is diminished.
