(quoted from post at 06:54:00 12/20/07) Jess: would you be willing to share some of your knowledge and list the one row picker models and the first year they were produced starting with first picker? I would really be interested in seeing them and have not been able to find this anywhere.
Howdy everybody,
O.K. this is all about 1 row IH cotton pickers, Lot of people are familiar with the main basic models but there was a lot of 1 row models made over the years, here is over 20 of them, and no doubt i have probally left a couple out, & when i list years i might not be 100% correct as some models were sold concurrently with each other. i use these abbriviations - L/D=low drum, H/D=high drum, D/F=double fan, S/F=single fan,
(B 10 L) (only 10 made) 1943-4 mounted on a B tractor, L/D, S/F, 10 spindles per bar. (H 10 H) 43-4 mounted on a H tractor, H/D, S/F. (M 10 H) mounted on a M tractor, H/D, S/F. (M 11 H) 1945 mounted on a M tractor, H/D, S/F. (M 12 H) 1946-early 50's mounted on a M tractor H/D,S/F. (H-14) late 40's early 50's mounted on a H tractor, L/D, S/F. (4M-120) mounted on a 400 tractor, 54-56
H/D,D/F. (34HM 114) 54-56 mounted on a H or M tractor, L/D,D/F. (120-A) late 50's mounted on a M tractor, H/D,D/F. (120 A-L) A H/D,D/F model on a standard tractor not raised. (114-A) mounted on a H or M tractor, L/D,D/F. (320) late 50's early60's mounted on a few different tractors, D/F,H/D. there were 2 types of (314) models both L/D, the D/F version looked like the 320, the S/F model looked like a later built C-14. (C-14) mounted on a super C tractor 54-56, L/D,S/F. (2C-14) mounted on A 200 tractor 54-56, L/D,S/F. and there was a (2CK 14) model but i am not sure how it fit in, Maybe on a 230 tractor?. (500) (501) (502) all built in mid to late 60's these 3 came in several combinations All D/F, (500 was L/D, (501 &502) could be L/D or H/D, 1 rows were discontinued after these models, these were the last of the 1 rows. i didnt really spell check everything here, i hope its interesting to you all.
