Don't use non-detergent oil - that recommendation is over 50 years old, just like the tractor. Oil technology has come a long way since your tractor was designed and manufactured.
I have come to the conclusion that everyone will use whatever oil they want, no matter what someone tells them... and I'm willing to bet you can put any oil you can find on the shelf in an old Farmall and it will run for another 50 years.
I prefer to use Mobil Delvac 1 5w-40 in my H.
